Want to help save the gorgeous Javan rhino from extinction?
With every purchase of this statement rhino ring, we're donating 20% of the profits to the International Rhino Foundation.
Besides being a badass headturner, we've engraved the rhino skull with "The Helm of Awe" (Old Norse Ægishjálmr, pronounced “EYE-gis-hiowlm-er”).
The Helm of Awe is one of the most mysterious and powerful symbols in Norse mythology, providing the ultimate mental, spiritual and physical protection for both the bearer and the animal in question.
- Handmade by local Balinese artisans
- Made from recycled 92.5 sterling silver.
The Javan rhino is probably the rarest large mammal on the planet, with only about 60 individuals left in the wild - and none in captivity. In fact, every single Javan rhino lives in the Ujung Kulon National Park in Indonesia, making the species even more vulnerable to catastrophic losses from disease or natural disasters.
On a brighter note, the population has been inching up over the past five years, and the creation of a second population could soon provide the species with some much-needed extra breathing - and breeding - space. You can help us achieve this goal.
You can find or double check your ring size via the size chart page in the top menu.
Sterling silver can tarnish over time. We recommend using a flannel polishing cloth to clean the pieces.
Your order will come packaged in a handwoven, eco-friendly and unique wallet made out of recycled Pandanus palm tree leaves. You can reuse the packaging as gift wrap and for storage.
